WHO WAS THE NAZRUL
It is small village.The name of the village is Churulia.There was a Leto party in this village.Once this party invited another party from the neighbouring village and the Leto songs began between the two parties.
In the Leto songs,one party used to sing and put question in a song to the other party.The other party was to give reply to the question in a song and put it's question to the rival party.It was a fight in songs.The songs went on for a long time.They were enjoyable to all.
The party of the neighbouring village was very famous.At once time;it put many hard questions.The singers of the party of Churulia did not know the answers.They were about to defeated.They were sitting with their heads bent.
At that time,a boy of the Churulia party stood up with a smiling face.He was twelve or thirteen years old.He was very handsome to look at.He went on making a song and singing it.His style of movement and sweet voice charmed all.He replied all the questions and put a very tough question at the end of his song.It was so tough that none of the singers of the other party could give a reply to it.
All people were astonished.Such a tender boy could make a song and sing it at the same time.The leader of the Churulia party was highly pleased and grateful.He embraced the boy and said,''O my tadpole!You will surely be a snake one day!
The boy,one day,became a very great poet.He became a great singer as well.He wrote many essays and novels.He wrote many poems and stories for the children.He wrote many patriotic poems and songs and he was sent to jail by the British Government for this.He suffered a lot there,but his pen did not stop.This famous poet was Quazi Nazrul Islam,our National poet.He breathed his last in the P.G Hospital Dhaka,on the 29th August,1976.But he would very live among us as source of inspiration.
